1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and HANS Society Foundation ("HANS Society", "we", "us") governing your use of the websites and applications at joinhans.io and its subdomains, including whitepaper.joinhans.io and earn.joinhans.io (the "Services"). By using the Services you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You may not use the Services if you are located in, or a resident of, any jurisdiction where doing so is unlawful, or if you are subject to sanctions or on any restricted-party list.
3. The Services
The Services provide information about HANS Society and access to experimental blockchain applications, including token staking, token swaps, and a bounty program that rewards contributions with UBAI tokens. Parts of the Services currently operate on test networks; testnet tokens have no monetary value. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
4. Not financial advice; assumption of risk
- Nothing on the Services is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy any asset or security.
- Digital assets — including HANS, sHANS, and UBAI — are experimental, volatile, and may lose all value. No statement on the Services is a promise of value, price, liquidity, or future conversion.
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible. You are solely responsible for your wallet, private keys, transaction approvals, and compliance with the laws that apply to you.
- Smart contracts may contain defects. You use them at your own risk.
5. The bounty program (earn.joinhans.io)
- Bounties reward specified, verified actions with UBAI. Verification methods, reward amounts, and available bounties may change at any time, and any bounty may be paused or withdrawn.
- Each person may participate with one account. Each linked social account may be bound to only one wallet at a time, and each bounty can be earned once per relevant identity (social account or wallet), including after re-linking to a different wallet.
- Sybil attacks, automation, fake or purchased accounts, or any attempt to earn rewards through deception or exploitation of bugs are prohibited. We may withhold rewards from, disqualify, or ban any participant we reasonably believe is violating these Terms, and may invalidate rewards obtained through violations.
- UBAI is a contribution-points token. From time to time we may offer fixed-rate swaps of UBAI for HANS; any such offer is discretionary, and no ongoing conversion, rate, or schedule is promised.
- Rewards may have tax consequences; you are solely responsible for them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law; infringe others' rights; interfere with or disrupt the Services; probe or exploit vulnerabilities other than through responsible disclosure to support@joinhans.io; use bots or scraping that burden the Services; or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
7. Third-party services
The Services interoperate with third parties you choose to use — crypto wallets, X, Google/YouTube, and external applications reachable by link (for example app.superseed.xyz). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Intellectual property
The Services and their content (branding, text, graphics, code) are owned by HANS Society Foundation or its licensors. Open-source components remain under their own licenses. Content you post on third-party platforms (such as tweets) remains yours.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANS SOCIETY FOUNDATION AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, TOKENS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).
11. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless HANS Society Foundation and its contributors from claims arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms or to protect the Services or their users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Cayman Islands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Cayman Islands, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept them.
